Covid-19 Secure Events:
Due to current events, this will not be like fire jams you may have seen or heard about, we have worked hard to make it so much more enjoyable, safe and accessible than before. We will have not one but two performance areas for people to enjoy and show their skills as well as whole new seating areas (socially distanced of course) for spectators and performers.
Of course, we are super excited about being able to move forward with our community activities, however, we must also do what we can to keep each other safe. We do ask that if you plan on attending this event either by yourself or as part of a social bubble or household, that you please book one of our ticketed bubbles. Multiple sizes are available to fit a maximum of 6 people. Please wear a mask upon arrival until you are seated in your designated bubble. A member of the safety crew will be there to greet you and provide you with a disclaimer to sign. We are asking for everyone to remain within their bubble unless using the toilet facilities and please wash and sanitise hands where possible (we will provide plenty of sanitising stations) and respect social distancing with other bubbles and households. Full information of how we are ensuring our fire jam sessions are as COVID secure as possible can be found on our risk assessment below.

Travel to and from the venue:
We are asking attendees to please plan to walk or cycle to Open Source Arts when attending our events. Not only is it friendlier to our environment and less disruptive. We also will have extremely limited parking on site due to our new layout, we hope to reserve the parking spots available for those with additional accessibility needs so please be respectful of that before planning your trip.

The event is run using our Collaborative Finance Model!
Collaborating, also known as open sourcing, involves making the source code (of some instructions or design) accessible to anyone to use, modify and take inspiration from, according to what they wish to do! We believe money is a resource, and like other resources, the way it is used defines the impact it creates. We want to pay people properly for their time, and keep money flowing in our community.
£30p/hr space hire and venue manager x 2: £60
£10/hr admin, marketing, space prep, insurance: £60
Total: £120
To make this activity start to become sustainable for all who are involved.
If 12 people come, that divides to £10 each, or £5/hr. If 20 people come, this divides to £6 each, or £3/hr.
Now you know how much it costs for this activity, it is entirely up to you how much you wish to contribute! We have a suggested starting price of £5.00 to reserve a seating bubble for you and your household if you can or wish to donate more we will have donation buckets available on the night or head to our Donations page
